Chocolate syrup

Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1tsp vanilla
- 1/4tsp salt
- 1tsp cornstarch
- 1tbsp water
Directions
- In a small sauce pan over medium heat, add water and sugar, let simmer until dissolved.
- Sift in cocoa powder to avoid lumps and whisk to combine, let this mixture simmer for about 2 minutes.
- Add vanilla and salt and mix. In a small cup, mix the cornstarch with the tablespoon of water; add to the pot and whisk.
- Increase heat slightly and simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
